BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS - BOOKING OPENS OCTOBER 8th AT NOON

Please note that all graduates must book a Grad Registration ticket for themselves.
Once you have selected a ticket for yourself, you will be given the opportunity to add-on up to two complimentary Guest tickets to your order.
Please book all your tickets within the one order, as your unique promo access code will expire after use.

Graduates have from October 8th until October 24th at 16:59pm to book their guaranteed complimentary ticket(s).
Starting at 17:00pm on October 24th, any remaining tickets left in the system will be opened up to the public with no promo code required.

1) Create or login to your UBC Tickets account: If you haven't purchased tickets to an event at the Chan Centre, or any of its ticketing partners previously, you will need to create an account. You can login or set up a new account by going to "My Account" in the top menu on this page. If you have forgotten your password and are having difficulty resetting or have been locked out after several unsuccessful login attempts, please contact us for assistance (see the last FAQ entry below for contact details).

2) Scroll to the bottom of this page and enter your Access code into the Promotional Code Box. Your Access Code is 24NYIT followed by your student number (eg. 24NYIT1234567). Do not include zeros at the start of your student number. Click Go. A blue bar should appear at the top of the screen saying that the code has been accepted.

3) Click BUY beside the Grad Registration event (11am). You may need to scroll down to the bottom of this page to see the event.

4) Select 1 "Grad Seating" ticket (this is only for yourself - the graduating student) and click Continue. After a Terms and Conditions page, a pop-up will appear asking if you would like to add Guest tickets to your order.

5) Book your "General Admission" Guest tickets for the 2pm Commencement Ceremony. Click the Select button if you wish to add guest tickets or click Close if you don't. Select how many General Admission tickets you would like to book for your guests (max will be 1 or 2, to be confirmed) and click Continue.

6) Complete the order! The order is completed once you receive a six-digit confirmation number from our system.

7) Check your email. You should also receive an email confirmation moments after completing your order. Be sure to check your junk mail or spam folder, as tickets sometimes end up there! Your tickets will be attached to the confirmation email in a pdf file which can be printed out or displayed on your phone.

FAQ

Why can't I see the "Buy" button on the ticketing widget? Once you have entered your unique promo access code, you will unlock access to ticketing. Be sure to book your Guest tickets at the same time, if needed, when the option pops up, as your unique promo access code will expire once used.

What if I need more guest tickets? Starting at 5pm on October 24th, any unclaimed tickets will be made available to the public with no promo code required. If you are unsuccessful in obtaining additional tickets at that time, you can instruct any guests without a ticket to wait in the standby line which will be open starting at noon. No exceptions are made to book more than the maximum allowed until all remaining tickets are released at 5:00pm on October 24th.
