Emily Carr Convocation 2025 May 8th, 2025 - Commencement Ceremony Tickets

    • We only guarantee two Complimentary Guest tickets for students who complete their booking and receive their order confirmation and tickets before the April 21st deadline. No first round tickets are available after April 21st. There will be no exceptions for those who miss this reservation window; please complete your guest ticket booking accordingly. Any unclaimed tickets from the first round are transferred to the extra ticket inventory and distributed in the Extra Ticket round.
       

      Please note: this round is NOT first-come, first-served - you do not need to book right at Noon on April 8th. However, be sure to book well before the April 21st deadline. If you run into difficulty booking your tickets, it is your responsibility to contact the Ticket Office for assistance well before the deadline and during their usual business hours, which means before April 21st.
       

      BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

      1)  When you are ready to make your booking, enter your one-time-use access code in the Promotional Code box near the bottom of this page. Do not "test" your one-time-use access code - once you enter your code and click Go, your one-time-use access code has been used and will not work a second time. Only enter your promo access code when you are ready to complete your booking.

      Complimentary Guest Tickets (From Tuesday, April 8th at 12:00pm PDT to Monday, April 21st at 11:59pm PST) : Your one-time-use access code is 25EC, followed by your student number(eg. 25EC12345). Do not include zeros at the start of your student number. Click Go. A blue bar should appear on top of the screen saying that the code has been accepted.

      2) Click BUY beside your Ceremony. (You need to scroll down this page to see the Ceremonies.)  Select up to 2 General Admission tickets for your guests and click Continue. Check that the tickets in your Shopping Cart are correct then click Next. The grad does not need to book a ticket for themselves.

      3) Create or login to your account. If you haven't purchased tickets with UBC Tickets previously, you will need to create an account. 

      4)  Complete the order! The order is completed once you receive a six-digit confirmation number from our system.

      5) Check your email. You should receive an email confirmation moments after completing the order. Be sure to check your junk mail or spam folder, as tickets sometimes end up there!

    • Online bookings for a maximum of 2 additional paid tickets is open and may only be accessed by entering your unique promo code (25ECX followed by your student number - all one word).  Every grad is guaranteed the two Extra tickets provided they book by 4:59pm on May 7th. If you are unable to secure enough tickets at that time, please instruct your guests to wait in the standby line which opens up one hour prior to your ceremony time. 

       

      Starting on May 7th at 5:00pm PST, any unclaimed tickets will become available with no promo codes or limits. If there weren't enough tickets to do an Extra Ticketing Round for your Ceremony, this will be your only opportunity to book any available seats.

      Extra Paid Guest Tickets (Wednesday, May 14 at 12:00pm PST and closes at 4:59pm PST the day before your ceremony date) : Your one-time-use access code is 25SX , followed by your student number(eg. 25ECX12345). Make sure that you add the X after EC- this access code is different than the first round. Do not include zeros at the start of your student number. Click Go. A blue bar should appear on top of the screen saying that the code has been accepted. 

      2) Click BUY beside your Ceremony. (You need to scroll down this page to see the Ceremonies.)  Select your ticket and click Continue. Check that the ticket in your Shopping Cart is correct then click Next. The grad does not need to book a ticket for themselves.

    • 3rd Round sales begin online on Wednesday, May 7th at 5:00pm PST the night before each Ceremony. Any unclaimed tickets from the previous rounds will become available with no promo codes or limits, on a first-come, first-served basis. Once tickets are sold out, there will be a Standby line set-up one hour prior to the ceremony, in case any further seats become available.

      Please note: this round is first-come, first-served and without limits. Your best chance is to act promptly at 5pm, but there are absolutely no guarantees that any additional tickets will be available at this time.

Please note: The Box Office is open Tuesday-Friday, Noon-4:00pm. Tickets may be reserved online at any time, if available.
