Emily Carr University Graduation Tickets - 2024

Update as of April 24th at 3:30pm: Tickets have now sold out. We will have a standby line set-up across from the Ticket Office beginning at 11:30am. 

Ticketing Round 1:
Tuesday April 9th at 12:00pm - Monday, April 22nd at 11:59pm PST

Online booking for a maximum of 2 complimentary guest tickets is open and may only be accessed by entering your unique promo code (24EC followed by your student number- all one word). Book all of your tickets for this round in one order.

Graduating students are guaranteed 2 (TWO) complimentary guest tickets for the ceremony if they purchase within this window. We strongly recommend students book their tickets as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee two tickets for students who miss the deadline for booking tickets in advance.  There will be no exceptions for those who miss this booking window; please arrange your guest tickets accordingly. Any unclaimed tickets from the first round will be added to the extra ticket inventory and distributed evenly in the next ticket round. 
 

Ticketing Round 2:
Wednesday, April 24th at 12:00pm - Tuesday, May 7th at 6:59pm PST

Online bookings for a maximum of 1 additional paid ticket is open and may only be accessed by entering your unique promo code (24ECX followed by your student number- all one word).  Complimentary tickets are no longer available.

These tickets are first-come, first-served, until available seats are all booked. 
 

Ticketing Round 3:
Tuesday, May 7th at 7:00pm PST  We sold out of Extra tickets as of April 24th at 3:30pm. 

Online bookings for any remaining paid tickets are open, without limits.

The Chan Centre Box Office will be open from 11:30am on event day. 

 

Booking Instructions

1) When you are ready to make your booking, enter your one-time-use access code in the Promotional Code box near the bottom of this page. Do not "test" your one-time-use access code - once you enter your code and click Go, your one-time-use access code has been used and will not work a second time. Only enter your promo access code when you are ready to complete your booking.
  • 1st Round - Complimentary Guest Tickets (From April 9th until April 22nd at 11:59pm PDT) :  Your one-time-use access code is 24EC, followed by your student number (eg. 24EC12345).  Do not include zeros at the start of your student number. Click Go. A blue bar should appear on top of the screen saying that the code has been accepted.  
  • 2nd Round - Extra Paid Tickets (April 24th at 12:00pm PDT - May 7th at 6:59pm ) :   Your one-time-use access code is 24ECX, followed by your student number (eg. 24ECX12345). Make sure that you add the X after 24EC- this access code is different than the first round. Do not include zeros at the start of your student number. Click Go. A blue bar should appear on top of the screen saying that the code has been accepted.
2) Click BUY beside the ceremony. You need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the ceremony.  Select whether you need 1 or 2 Guest tickets. Your maximum allotment of 1st Round Complimentary Guest tickets is 2. The allottment for the 2nd Round Extra Paid ($3) is a maximum of one per grad and will only be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The grad does not need to book a ticket for themselves. Please note that babies/toddlers/children do require their own ticket.

3)  Create or login into your account. If you haven't purchased tickets to an event at the Chan Centre, or any of its ticketing partners previously, you will need to create an account.

4)  Complete the order! The order is completed once you have a six-digit confirmation number from our system.

5) Check your email. You should also receive an email confirmation moments after completing the order. Be sure to check your junk mail or spam folder in your email program, as tickets sometimes end up there!

FAQ

Why can't I see the "Buy" button on the ticketing widget? Once you have entered your promo code, you will unlock access to Round 1 ticketing. The ticketing widget may not show as available during the 12 hour breaks betweeen ticketing rounds.

Does my baby/toddler require a ticket? Yes. Each guest, including children and infants who might sit on your lap, needs to have a ticket. The ticketing system is designed to ensure everyone’s safety; Fire Regulations dictate the maximum number of people, big or small, who may occupy the room at one time. What if my ceremony is sold out? A standby line will be set up at the venue beginning at 11:30 am and any extra tickets released may be booked at the venue box office. 

What if my guests have special seating requirements? The Chan Centre is a fully accessible building. When approaching the Chan Centre entrance from the top of the stairwell please note that there is an elevator located near the flag pole plaza; south-west of the main doors to the Chan Centre. Take the elevator to level 5, of the Parkade to access the Chan Centre. Special needs parking is available on Level 5 of the Rose Garden Parkade. F.M. Hearing System headsets are also available free of charge for the hearing impaired.

Guests who need assistance to get to their seats should arrive 45 minutes before the ceremony start time and identify themselves to a Chan Centre staff member upon arrival. Efforts will be made to pre-seat the party prior to the concert hall opening to the public. Public entry to the hall begins 30 minutes prior to the ceremony.
